To Compete or to Collaborate? Logistics Service Sharing and Retailers’ Resale in Competitive Online Channels

The prosperity of e-commerce has made more and businesses willing to enter the market, which also brought a series strategic collaboration between firms. This study considers game models with without platform retailer. An relative logistics service sharing advantages while retailer procurement advantages. We formulated multichannel supply chain consisting manufacturer two retailers explore feasibility above model. utilized Stackelberg Nash approaches obtain equilibrium solutions under both cooperative noncooperative scenarios. Through further analysis, we determined impacts sensitivity, cost unit effort, price shared per unit, competition intensity on optimal prices, efforts, profits. Moreover, collaborative exchange needs consider interests participating manufacturers in game. Our extension suggests all three firms should actively promote deeper collaboration.
